Expansion details:
- Blood Elves: Allied to Horde. Racial Bonuses - Mana Tap and Arcane Torrent (stops spell casters). Start zone is Sunstrider Isle in Quel'Thalas, capital city is Silvermoon in Eversong Forest.
- Continent of Outland added. Accessible through the Dark Portal at level 54.
- Jewelcrafting profession.
- Socketable items ala Diablo II.
- Level cap 70.
- Nether Dragon flying mount (level 70 in Outlands only)
- Auctions houses linked
- Battlegrounds linked across servers
- No new classes
Dungeons:
- Karazhan Tower: Medivh's former place of residence. Max level (70) dungeon, fight many of mystical creatures from Medivh's magical experiments. Might encounter Khadgar, Medivh's former apprentice. 20 man raid.
- Zul'Aman: Home of the forest trolls in the blood elf region of Quel'Thalas. Level hasn't yet been determined.
- Black Temple: Illidian is the final boss. 'Nuf said.
- Lady Vashj: One of Illidian's lieutenants, it is rumored she has her own Outland dungeon.
- Auchindoun: Blizzard is trying something new with Auchindoun, an area located in Outland's Bone Wastes zone intended for players level 65-70. It will serve as BOTH a dungeon and player city, depending on your reputation with different NPC groups in the area.
- Tempest Keep: Located off the tip of Netherstorm in Outland, this will be a max-level dungeon that includes 3 5-man wings and a raid-level wing (the keep). Expect to encounter Kael'Thas, the Blood Elf leader and lieutenent of Illidian, inside the Keep.
- Caverns of Time: A very cool instance. Will allow time travel, to relive events from the Warcraft universe. Intended for levels 60-70, evil forces in the world are trying to screw with time and affect critical moments in the past. It is the players' responsibility to go through the portal and make sure these events happen they way they were meant to. Some instances planned:
- Thrall's Excape from DurnHolde Keep
- Opening of the Dark Portal
- Battle of Mount Hyjal
- Battle of Hellfire Peninsula (battleground, relieving the battle of the Warcraft 2 expansion pack on Outland (then Draenor))
